If we are allowing everyone to keep their top players at no real cost to them, why would anyone throw back one of their top round picks from last season unless the guy's arm fell off?

Maybe they underperformed their high draft spot.

The two round bump is the point... it forces you to think hard about the value of player versus what you give up in position.  If we are allowing everyone to keep their top players at no real cost to them, why would anyone throw back one of their top round picks from last season unless the guy's arm fell off?  We use this rule in other leagues and it rewards the mid to low round steals while keeping the All Stars from setting up permanent residence on a roster.

Either way, I was throwing it out there for discussion.

Actually, I'd like to vote that Big Drinky not be allowed back since he routinely went weeks without responding to my shitting trade requests even logging in last year.

I like Big Drinky's keeper suggestion; I've used pretty much the same rule in other leagues. It kind of sucks that whoever lucked into the number one pick gets Grandpujols for two years.
