Just pool your money, get one really good hooker and share whilst watching the game on TV in a swank suite downtown. Everybody wins.

Speaking of HJE - Where the hell is it? It won't show up for me this morning.
Or hook up with Stuart Levine at the Purple Hotel.
That hotel has a heckuva history.

In December 1982, after four days of deliberations, the jury found Lombardo, Dorfman, Williams, and two others guilty on 11 counts of bribery, fraud, and con-spiracy. A month later, while out on bail awaiting sentencing, Dorfman was shotgunned to death in the parking lot of the Lincolnwood Hyatt Hotel. The mob apparently thought Dorfman was too soft to do his time and might start singing. ABC-TV's Ted Koppel devoted an episode of Nightline to the murder, accompanied by a profile of Lombardo. To this day, the Dorfman slaying remains unsolved.

I'm astonished at how Stuart Levine could remain such a functional Illinois political hack, siphoning off so much cash from the state the "clean" way (kickbacks as opposed to good old-fashioned embezzlement), while raising money for BOTH major party candidates for Gov. in 2002. You'd think you wouldn't be able to keep everything straight after a couple stiff drinks, let alone after emptying the inventory of meth from Alsip and ketamine from Arlington Park several times a week.

Allegedly.  ;)

I still can't believe someone thought it was a good idea to paint a hotel purple and call it the Purple Hotel.
Well, it was the Hyatt when I was a mere tyke.  We called it the Purple Hyatt.  Then it became the (Purple) Radisson.  Someone finally bought it out, I guess.  It's a slight upgrade in quality from the hotels just south of there along Lincoln near Devon.

Of those, the Heart 'O The City is my favorite as the Wachowski's put it in The Matrix.

I used to bartend (yearrrrs ago) on the other side of Touhy at the restaurant known over time as The Kenilworth Inn / Bones / L. Woods.
(How smart was I? Bartending in a Jewish neighborhood.)

Man, we'd get some beauties from across the street.
That hotel and it's customers always gave me the creeps.

Unlike the Cubs, apparently the Combine still knows how to develop its position players.

Back on topic, I'm waiting to hear from Brixen Ivy and Beyond the Ivy, both on Waveland.
Don't read too much into any of it. It's Rozner. He's a fucking idiot.

Was that Weebs, or Weebs' close friend?

Beyond the Ivy seems to have three locations on Waveland, Brixen Ivy one.

I definitely didn't say that...and I have a close friend on Desipio?  How does my name somehow keep getting brought up in situations totally unrelated to me?

L. Woods is still great stuff.  Plank salmon, good ribs and steaks.  Classic Lettuce Entertain U establishment.

I was referring to your good friend who has this friend who totally slobs on Sean Gallagher's knob or something.

Better get a reservation, though.

Brixen Ivy is around $150/head.

Anyone been to either?
