The fact that the new Mumford & Sons album solds fuckloads in the first week despite being simultaneously released on Spotify should put to bed any more silly notions of Spotify hurting sales instead of helping drive them. It's the new "heavy rotation".

The new Ringo Deathstarr album rips.

Is that good or bad?  I'm guessing good but I figured I'd double-check.

I suspect there's going to be a lot of Anjan Dutta in my immediate future. Not that I have any other sort.

Horrible Crowes cd is pretty decent, but I like Gaslight Anthem. It's essentially the lead singer and the guitar tech, playing less pop-punk, more tom waits light styled subdued songs..

Charles Bradley's album is really fucking cool. Listen up and you won't miss guys like James Carr and O.V. Wright quite as much.

I'm intrigued. I'm not a huge Gaslight Anthem fan, but I like them well enough. This sounds good on paper.

New albums from Trail of Dead, Kendrick Lamar, and Pinback are probably worth your time.

One album definitely worth your time is the new Tame Impala.

Also, mix in some Bjork because why not.

I was just listening to trail of dead "madonna" this morning. What an incredible band, especially live.

Last album'd

Now I'm excited. I was just listening to a bunch of old Pinback last night, but it had somehow totally slipped my mind that they were releasing a new album. Downloading that shit tonight.

(And maybe looking to see if these two vinyl-only limited edition EPs are available anywhere, too.)

FRIDAY!
Loor and I came acrossks like opatoets.
