I also... thought "Pour Some Sugar On Me" was a great song.

What exactly are you driving at, short round?
"So, this old man comes over to us and starts ragging on us to get down from there and really not being mean. Well, being a drunk gnome, I started yelling at teh guy... like really loudly."

This is the kind of shit that makes me want to make like a JD and hop aboard the Royals bandwagon.

Don't do it.  I dabbled for about two weeks earlier this year and it sucked more than every Cub disappointment of my lifetime rolled into one.

The way I look at it, it's basically a wash except for two variables.

1. Money - The Cubs have a lot. The Royals have very little.
2. Fans - The Cubs have a lot. The Royals have very few.

So, it's a lateral move.

Yeah, and you have to play the White Sox more than six times. Gross.

I dabble with supporting the Blue Jays and the O's in the interim, even though American League baseball is absolutely terrible.

You just can't quit Rich Hill, can you?

(Or any of their other 50 Kubbie Kastoffs.)

I used to be a more-than-mild Brewers fan, back in the good ol' days when there was no interleague play, the Brewers were in the AL, bleacher seats at County Stadium topped out at $4, it was easy to get served underage and Greg Vaughn patrolled left field. Good times.

Actually, I drift to the Royals and A's when the Cubs are...well...the Cubs.
Abraham Lincoln once said, "If you are a racist, I will attack you with the North."  And, these are the priciples I carry with me in the workplace.

There are times "when the Cubs are...well...the Cubs" when the Royals are entertaining?
I can't believe I even know these people. I'm ashamed of my internet life.

The Royals are entertaining every fifth day.  Rarely more often than that.

Nope, Mike Jacobs.  Gets a hit once every five days or so.

I've started to wear my Twins hat again.  Maybe I'll buy a Mauer jersey just in time to be a bandwagon fan when he's swinging for .400 this season.
