I'm extremely annoyed by this entire thing. Al even tried to rationalize this bullshit by saying he dreamed up this piece of shit when the Cubs were winning so people couldn't call it reactionary horseshit. As if it wasn't still horseshit.

Seriously this has almost ruined my whole day.

I have a really hard time believing that you finding something you can hate with all your heart has done anything but fuel your day.

Granted, I only skimmed the article but it doesn't seem like Al is offering an alternative solution. I guess he seems to advocate signing mid-level guys to plug holes while waiting for prospects to develop. But isn't that exactly what Theo/Jed have done the last two offseasons with Jackson, DeJesus, Villanueva, Feldman, Maholm, Schierholtz, etc.?

Also, Al wants to toss out names like Brandon Wood but that's about as useful as throwing out names of prospects like Bryce Harper, Mike Trout, Evan Longoria and others. Sometimes, highly-touted prospects actually ARE awesome at baseball.
