Any copyright lawyers here? Can we copyright the phrase "Bleed Cubbie Blue" (it's not in TESS) then hit Al with an injunction?

Nah, you can't do it retroactively.  And it'd be a trademark, rather than a copyright, but it still wouldn't work.  Of course, it's been a long time since I took trademarks and copyrights.  Anyone know differently?

I was at a minor league game in Burlington yesterday afternoon (prior to my extreme backyard wrestling experience) and I saw a guy with a white t-shirt that said "Bleed" over the old "mean-looking" Cub sleeve logo and "Blue" underneath. I was tempted to ask him if he was one of Al's minions.

Several. I have a Wood jersey I bought in '98 and a blue alternate Prior from 2003 (don't wear that one any more). Bought a Fukudome this past off-season. Have a Jason Marquis one that I had made up that I wear when he starts. Game-worns: A Darrin Jackson #30 from 1988; a Neifi from 2006 (don't wear that one any more, either) and a Scott Moore from 2007.

Doesn't Al go to every game?  This year, at home, Jason Marquis has started 13 games and won four of them.  He has an Estes-esque 5.76 ERA and 1.48 WHIP.

When he wore his Neifi jersey to home games, Neifi almost always got two hits. But he doesn't wear that little turd's shirt anymore. Too embarrassing. However, Marquis and DJ are still in the rotation for some reason.

Reminds of some tool I met at Sluggers during Marquis' start against Baltimore this year. He told me Marquis was his favorite pitcher on the Cubs' staff. I looked at him like he had a flower pot on his head and he said he always gets that look from people when he tells them that. I was just about to inquire why he liked Marquis so much when Jason started hemorrhaging runs on the mound so I ignored the son of a bitch until he went away. And I did mention I was at Sluggers right? Fuck my life.
