OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

Dunn-ce = left-handed A-Sor.

.215 career BA with men in scoring position. No thanks.

You know he'll be 31 next year, right?

The Cubs already have enough players that can't field or hit with men on.

Well, I know I prefer to analyze a player off of 1/4 of his career ABs as opposed to all of his ABs. Plus I'm not sure where you got the .215 number from: http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/split.cgi?n1=dunnad01&year=Career&t=b#bases. I think that'll work. It's Linked from the phone. Is like .232 or .235. I don't feel like going back to it. However, his OPS is .897 whereas his career OPS is .907. So, we are going to bitch about a drop of 10 OPS points?  Sure he plays bad defense but he's a hell of a hitter. I'd like the cubs to ink him to a two-year deal, yes. However, I think they should entertain moving either Soriano or Ramirez to first. DeWitt could play third. I'm sure the cubs could find someone from the minors to patrol second. Maybe Tony Thomas. He's putting up respectable AA numbers.

I'm not sure I follow, Yeti...

1. Sign Dunn
2. Move Ramirez to 1B
3. Profit?

C - Soto
1B - Ramirez
2B - T. Thomas
3B - DeWitt
SS - Castro
LF - Soriano
CF - Byrd
RF - Colvin

What I meant. I mean that if they don't want to make either of those two moves, then sign Dunndiggity

Yes, because drawing a walk when you're being pitched around in a shitty lineup < getting a hit. That's always been his problem. When pitchers have to bear down and get him out to get out of a jam, they can usually do it.

Plus, have you seen him play left field? He makes Soriano look like Willie Mays.

He's a good player, no doubt, just not a great player, and the near-Pujols salary he's going to command is not going to be worth it on a team with countless other holes/problems.

I believe I said I wanted him to play 1B. However, I might have been mistaken.

I don't get it...didn't you just rip on Blake Dewitt's power, leading to this exchange:

Blake DeWitt... He of the .779 Minor League OPS and the .726 Major League OPS!!!!!! SSSSSSSUUUUUUPPPPPLLLOOOOOOOOOOGGGGGGGGEEEEEEuh!

He's a second baseman.  If he can sit around .750 (which isn't a given, I understand) for a few years while making around the league minimum, that'd be really useful.

And now we're moving him to third base?

Ah, yes. The all-caps exaggeration of an argument with which you disagree. Irrefutable.
