This is going to be awesome.

I think it's cool that you'll be allowed to use two mics and harmonize like the Beatles, but unfortunately I think a lot of their songs will be kind of boring to play.  At least some of the older stuff.

Pretty sure it's impossible to harmonize even with 10 mics if it's just you sitting in your bedroom singing by yourself.

Rock Band 2 is so damn giddy schoolgirl fun it's sickening.  The happiness we got when the achievement "needs more umlauts" was blinked upon the screen when we named our band Dër Fürbergër was just wrong.

Dër Fürbergër rocked the shit out of the Boston, Thin Lizzy, and Steve Miller song packs this weekend.

The guitars for the Beatles game look pretty sweet.  Not sweet enough for anyone but Weebs to drop $450 on the full set of instruments, but pretty sweet.

They're also giving you the Beatles drum head and Hofner violin bass for $450.

And don't think Beatles' geeks won't drop the money for it.

Couple of my fellow Dër Fürbergër bandmates and I were talking about this yesterday.  I'm going to be very tempted to get at least one of the guitars.  Hope some other bundles are available.

Oh, and playing Nothing's Shocking is just too much fun.

I spinal tap double neck bass would be the best.

Spinal Tap is playing an acoustic concert at the Chicago Theater at the end of this month.  I can't wait to hear an acoustic rendition of "Big Bottom" and get a picture of the marquee.

Also, let's begin the discussion of which Beatles songs MUST be included in this game.  My top five are:

1.  While My Guitar Gently Weeps
2.  You've Got to Hide Your Love Away
3.  A Day in the Life
4.  Eleanor Rigby
5.  Hey Jude

First off, the lack of Tap in Rock Band is a shame.  I saw them at the Riv on the "Break Like The Wind Tour" and still have the damn tee shirt from that show.  Any Smalls Rock Band Bass would have to include a zucchini.

Beatles songs
1. Hard Days Night
2. Hey Bulldog
3. Back in the USSR
4. Help!
5. Dig A Pony

Isn't the Tap acoustic show the three guys out of character doing Tap and Folksmen songs?

And has there ever been a better cover than the Folksmen doing "Start Me Up"?

Guitar Hero 2 had "Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight."  It's pretty much the only reason I still own Guitar Hero 2.
