If you download songs and have a system crash, can you get the songs back for free?  Is there a registration process or something?

I don't know about an entire system crashing.  I know the store keeps track of what songs you've downloaded, so you can download them again, but I don't know if that's stored online or just locally on your system.  I'm assuming there wouldn't be a problem getting them all back in the event of an entire system crash.

It's not local.  I've gone through multiple 360s and now two hard drives, and I've been able to download old stuff to the new drive with no additional charges.  You should be fine, Chuck.

The terms and conditions are probably identical, but that doesn't mean the online management is.  Does the Wii version have it's own music store, or is it all done through one of those gay Channels?  I would assume you can get them back just fine, but if there's one system that's going to take advantage of people that don't know what they're doing, it's the Wii.

Ug, the list of songs I still need to get is getting longer and longer.

Microsoft released the info about the wireless mic they are releasing this fall.  It will work with Rock Band and all the Guitar Heroes.  It will be $50 just for the mic.  It's the same damn mic that you can buy with that Lips Karaoke game right now with two mics for $50.  Go get the Lips pack now if you think you'll want a wireless mic.  For Beatles Rock Band alone it will be worth it.

Hehe.  I've actually been using the Motorola branded NFL type headset.  I just imagine I'm whichever NFL coach would love to sing each song.  So far Belichick shirtless, and a little tipsy seems to win out every time.
