Its nothing more than bribery for a vote.
Ah.  Your beef is tax subsidization in exchange for help at the ballot box.

Please explain to me how this is any different, other than by method of distribution, of the GOP tax cuts of 2001?

Face it: You are a whore.  You want your free money.  You just want it in the form of apple pie (tax cuts) rather than cherry pie (subsidies).

The difference between Dems and GOPs on fiscal policy is....  I don't know anymore.

just like everyone is not entitled to Health Care.

I know this viewpoint exists, but it still surprises me every time I hear it.

If one is entitled to a service without payment, the service providers are not entitled to payment for service.

Firefighters and police officers don't get paid?

I don't get fire and police protection for free.

Only thing I'm going to touch is minimum wage. I've even heard from pinko economists that price floors that are above the equilibrium aren't always too good for the economy. Luckily, the minimum wage hikes haven't crippled the ecomomy

MikeC, ACORN has received a TOTAL of $53 million in federal funds since 1994.

If you're this angry over that amount of money, I can't imagine how hysterically furious you must be over the $1.2 billion that the pimps at Blackwater received the last 3 years.
It's of pivotal importance to consider this in temporal units. So, "1.2 billion minutes ago" was like 200 years before Christ.

Which is my point, no one is suggesting that doctors should work for free.

Saying that someone is just as entitled to a mammogram (in Yeti's case) or a colonoscopy (in Mike Fistula's case) as they are to having the fire in their house extinguished because Oleg fell asleep with a spliff in his mouth, doesn't seem too controversial/illogical to me.

Yet the Supreme Court has already ruled that you are not entitled to police protection.

It does to me.  If I'm entitled to it, then I should be able to get one at any time with no cost.  Hell, I want a scope machine installed in my house.  And one for all my neighbors, too.

I think rights get confused with privileges often.  I don't have a right to drive a car.  I don't have a right to penicillin, either.

For that matter, I don't have a right to a gun.  See, if my "right to bear arms" is absolute, I want my own nuclear weapon.  Oh, I can't have a nuclear weapon?  How about an M1 Abrams with sabot rounds?  Oh, I can't have that either?  So, my rights are not absolute.

Same with MRIs and full body scans.

At this point, we're haggling over price.

ACORN preyed on the poor by promising to put them in a house that alot of people can't afford so long as you join ACORN, pay dues, and help us elect Democrats like Obama.

Source, please.

Wherever a functional marketplace offers the good in question.

Edit: I should clarify. I don't think "health care" is a right; I agree, it's a privilege. I do think a "functional health care market" is a right.

The problem here, as it always is in Washington, is that the problem is being attacked at the wrong end.

Just as all the hue and cry over abortion rarely addresses the real problem (unwanted pregnancies), the health care debate has ignored the larger problem (an entire industry - health care insurance - gone rogue) while getting caught up in the fact that people are debating whether everyone is entitled to health care...the truth is, everyone already has de facto health care via emergency rooms.

The larger problem is that there is nothing stopping any insurance provider from deciding not to cover any patient at any time for reasons real or imagined.

And if MikeC really wants to keep banging the ACORN drum, it's his right - of course all the "faith-based initiatives" that get funded by GOP politicians that are every bit as shitty as ACORN. But that's the way it goes.
