He's OK, but he's a bit jaundiced -- they actually put him under the lights instead of discharging us when we were supposed to go home -- and as a result he's very sleepy, and as a result, he's not gaining weight as quickly as they would like.  But I think we're on the right track.

On the flip side, my oldest son had severe eating issues (his GERD was so bad that we had to beg the specialist to put him on a trial medicine at 6 months that was not supposed to be used until at least a year) as an infant.  Eating was so painful for him that he arched in a bow and spit anything and everything out, and we could only feed him when he was asleep.  At nine months, it was almost like a switch was flipped and he became a very happy and content baby.  He is now a happy and content seven year-old (and is actually our best eater).

So congrats, and keep your chin up.
