I've just about mastered the Underboss tier, and all I can say is whoever on the design team decided the Untraceable Cell Phone was a good item to put in the game can burn in hell.

Edit: Apparently I was only just finishing the second set of that tier.  Fuck this game.

I don't get it.  Are you saying that's where I can find the Untraceable Cell Phone?  I know what job they drop in, but it's the same one that also drops the Concealable Camera and Computer Set-Up, so I have to do that job (and the one that gets you Blackmail Photos) like 100 times each just to be able to get enough items to then do the Underboss jobs 20+ times each.  I should have spent all my points on Attack and Defense.

No. The best formula to level up alot is with Energy

Yeah, that's what I've done.  But what does leveling up get you?  More levels?  More money, which really amounts to nothing?  So far it seems like the only kind of reward system is a leaderboard for robberies and kills.  The developers have managed to make a game requiring absolutely no skill that gives you absolutely no rewards, and yet is unbelievably addictive.  These people are geniuses.

Soon enough you'll get over that hump. The Boss level doesn't require that.. However, it does require Bank records and Blackmail photos, but that hasn't bugged me too much

The problem is that there's no way to systematically amass the items you need to master these jorb tiers.  I think I need about 100 more blackmail photos to finish mastering the Boss tier.  To do that I need probably 150 Concealable Cameras, since doing the 'Compromising Photos' job doesnt always get you the photos.  And to get the cameras I have to rob the damn Electronics store at least 450 times.  Even then, there's no guarantee I'll get the cameras.  It's funny - before, when I was doing Underboss, I couldn't get a cell phone to save my life.  Now I think I have 100 of them, but can't get a concealable camera.

Also, the Collections were a great idea to add a new twist to the game, but they need to give the items a bit more often than they do currently.  I've done easily over 500 Soldier-tier missions this week and I still can't get a damn boxing ring.

Only 6 jorbs left to go to complete Level 3 Boss.  Only need the 1 and the 3 balls to complete the Billiard Collection.

How the fuck do you get $10 Trillion?  I guess I just need to buy 30,000 hotels?

I have like 160 hotels and 200 casinos and I only make like $95 million each time.  That's good for around $3 billion a day or something like that.  It would take a long, long time.  Especially with fuckers destroying my property every 10 minutes.

This is all so very unrealistic.

I get $165 million.. As far as destroying property, if you aren't online, you don't get attacked.

All collections vaulted!  Now I can go back to trying to get another 137 sets of Blackmail Photos so I can finish off the Boss tier.  Yay?

This looks awesome.  I'm a sucker for the western setting.  I just hope it plays more like Red Dead Revolver than it does like GTA IV.

I'm guessing the basic mission structure is pretty similar, and controls for shooting probably won't be too far off (which I'm fine with), but at least the horses will turn like horses should, as opposed to the cars from GTA IV, which turned like horses.

Also, that game looks fucking amazing.  I never played Red Dead Revolver, but I will subscribe to its sequel.

Here's a little writeup from Kotaku, which makes the game sound like it could be either be one of the best games of all time or a gigantic bust, at least in terms of sales:

I enjoyed the driving in GTA IV.  If you drove a cab, it's no surprise that it drives like a shoebox.  If you jump in a Hummer, it should pretty much drive like a tank.  Police cars were the tits.

I enjoyed it too.  I was just commenting about most of the people who thought it was terrible because it didn't have the ridiculous physics of the last-gen games.  And speaking of last-gen games, to hear that Red Dead Redemption's world is bigger than that of San Andreas kind of blows my mind.  I still think that's one of the most amazing open worlds ever put together.

I'm going to be disappointed if the main character controls like Niko did.  I don't want to have to "drive" my character.
