Carp, Wainwright and Pinero are the best 1-2-3 pitchers in the NL.

This part is true.

Hanson, Jurjjens and Vazquez  are solid, if the Giants had anyone after Lincecum and Cain, they'd have an argument, and Billingsley, Wolf and Kershaw is a solid combo, but the Cards guys are the best 1-2-3 right now.

There is no part of "best" that contains "Pinero".

You sure?
I can't believe I even know these people. I'm ashamed of my internet life.

He's on a hot streak. He'll revert to the norm.

As uneven as Dempster is, his WHIP this year is damn near what Pinero's is for his career.

A hot streak is like 3-4 starts.  Not 128 innings.

What if each of those starts is 30-40 innings?

So a half-season is proof? Which means I was RIGHT about the Giants being the Wild Card!!!

Todd Wellemeyer is absolutely terrible. Thank goodness the Cardinals can't figure this out.

You had to go and tip them off...

QuoteST. LOUIS -- Struggling starter Todd Wellemeyer -- owner of the second-worst ERA in the Major Leagues at 5.79 -- has been moved to the Cardinals' bullpen as he tries to work out his problems.

QuoteAccording to Dejan Kovacevic of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Pirates have traded Jack Wilson and Ian Snell to the Mariners for Jeff Clement and others.
The Pirates are also expected to receive shortstop Ronny Cedeno and right-hander pitchers Aaron Pribanic, Brett Lorin and Nathan Adcock. It's a classic rebuilding move for Pittsburgh, who just got an influx of young talent. The Mariners did well too, finally picking up a reliable shortstop. And Snell should do well with a change of scenery.

Great, now we have to deal with that Cedeno guy in the NL Central.

Don Long.  Miracle worker.

Quote"Ronny is a solid major league defensive-oriented shortstop," Huntington said. "We feel we can help him become more productive with the bat, while his defense helps our pitching staff."
