Doesn't sound like this ump has a hangup.... geez.

The umpire who ejected Milton Bradley in his Wrigley Field debut Friday intends to file a report stating that the outfielder made physical contact.
Bradley is in serious danger of being suspended. He struck out looking on a full count pitch and shared a brief, but aggressive, exchange with umpire Dan Iassogna, at one point knocking the ump's hat slightly up his head. The report will be filed with the Commissioner's Office on Saturday. We'll keep you updated. Apr. 17 - 9:29 am et
Source: Cubs.mlb.com

That report isn't right. Iassogna was the second base umpire who said a report would be filed. Larry Vanover was the cockbag behind the plate who ass-raped Bradley on balls and strikes and then tossed him.

According to the Trib the only contact between Bradley and Vanover was the bills of their caps and it's so brief you have to run the tape in slo-mo to even see it.

Knowing his desire to fuck the Cubs in any conceivable way I would guess Bud makes sure Bradley gets a few days off. Fucking douchebag.

As predicted...

All this shows is that this umpiring crew is made up of a bunch of old men in Depends that can't handle anything resembling heat or criticism.  I really hope bad, work-related, things happen to them.

I wouldn't suspend a single player for anything short of throwing a punch at an ump, until umps get suspended for fucking up calls as badly as that one...if I were commish.  But I'm sure that half of the mouthbreathers in southern Missouri could do a better job than Selig.

Oh--and I hope Larussa eats a line drive into the dugout this season.

He should just sit out a couple of games while he's still kinda hurt so he can rest up.

He's appealing in the hopes of getting a game knocked off.  And he should.  I just now finally saw the replay and I can't believe he got suspended at all.
I think he's more of the appendix of Desipio.  Yeah, it's here and you're vaguely aware of it, but only if reminded.  The only time anyone notices it is when it ruptures (on Weebs in the video game thread).  Beyond that, though, it's basically useless and offers no redeeming value.

If anyone thinks that a bill of a helmet touching a bill of a cap constitutes "physical contact," they should be subject to a zero-tolerance of them drawing another breath rule.  There's clearly nothing living between the ears to begin with.

Well then he can wait till the next time he is kinda hurt and sit out one game.

Milton got two games for being Milton Bradley. Nobody else gets suspended for that.

And fuck Tony LaRussa and his team of steroid-fueled sideshow freaks with a rusty fucking chainsaw.

Are you suggesting other ballplayers be suspended for being Milton Bradley, even when they clearly aren't Milton Bradley?

Because that would be unfair.

They should have suspended his helmet.

Also, so emphatically THIS:

Where are the ramifications for Vanover creating the situation in the first place by being completely incompetent at his job?

Also, not having the video available while at work, did Vanover step toward Bradley? That would invalidate everything.

Would it? I've never heard that before.

And even if it would, Milt would still get suspended due to the fact he's already got two strikes against him:

1. He's Milton Bradley.

2. He plays for the Cubs.

Have I mentioned lately that I hate Cubs fans? And I know the Jockey is just reporting the "controversial" news but I think he's laying it on a little thick with the DOOM.

QuoteThe Milton Bradley experience is turning sour quickly on the North Side, and the Cubs have to be concerned about the way their $30 million free agent is handling things.

In his first start at Wrigley Field since signing with the Cubs, Bradley failed to hustle on a ground ball Wednesday night and was booed by fans after going 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in a 3-0 loss to Cincinnati.

Bradley is hitting .043 (1-for-23) after tearing up Arizona with a .460 average in the Cactus League. He has become a virtual Sphinx, avoiding reporters before the game and failing to stick around to talk afterward, continuing the media boycott he began after suffering a mild groin strain on April 12 in Milwaukee.

I thought the booing was for the ump.  Meh.

What major leaguer hasn't had a rough night or a turrble, jus turrble start to their year?  Milton's 1 for 23.  OH NOZ!  TRAYDE FER MATT MERTAN!!!!11//

Seriously, though, I'm no more worried about Milton's struggles right now than I am with the sun rising tomorrow morning.

Why, was the ump black?
