This doesn't really surprise me.

Could it be unsurprising because it's been in the news for at least two months?

What kind of a moron calendar is Canada on?

Maybe it's a fake -- Kyle Koster is clearly a made-up name.

Oleg and I encountered a racist Cub fan last night. Not good times. He hails from the great state of Iowa lives amongst us on the Northside now. I don't like people.

Milton needs to get help or he's going to wind up like Donnie Moore.

That would save the Mariners a lot of money.

So what's the downside?

Oh?

I do hope Bradley gets better (sane) and goes on to live a productive life. If he can salvage his baseball career, great! But he's doing it away from the Cubs. Even better.

Now, if Hendry can convert Carlos Silva into real, live young players that can help this team in 2011 and 2012 and find a trade partner for Soriano, his next employer should be BP.

I doubt it.  I am very pessimistic about cases like his.  The only thing that works is being on the right medicaition and staying on it.  That may be antithetical for a professional athlete.  Reading the fan comments was very entertaining.  They seem to feel that rehabilitation is the primary object of a baseball team.  All this time I thought it was about entertainment.  (Except for the kind that Milton provided)
If I had known that I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself.   (Plagerized from numerous other folks)

Only in sports can someone like Jim Hendry sign a player like Bradley to a 3 year $30 million contract and keep his job.
Andre Dawson paid his $1,000 fine for the Joe West incident with style. Dawson wrote ``Donation for the blind`` in the memo section of his personal check.

Are there that many other businesses where you sign people to $30 million contracts?

I'm sure some senior executives get deals like that.
This is so bad, I'd root for the Orioles over this fucking team, but I can't. Because they're a fucking drug and you can't kick it and they'll never win anything and they'll always suck, but it'll always be sunny at Wrigley and there will be tits and ivy and an old scoreboard and fucking Chads.
