How many 30+ guys are having a resurgence on that team? I'd say a handful. I've been suspicious of this team for a while now. I'm willing suspend my laissez-faire attitude about drug cheats in this case. Hang 'em all.

The ring belonged to Bill "Moose" Skowron, who worked for the Sox until his death in April. This is part of his estate sale. He also won World Series titles with the Yankees (1956, 1958, 1961, 1962) and the Dodgers (1963). A Chicago native, Skowron played for the White Sox from '64 through '67.

As bad as the Cubs have been, at least they weren't swept in a doubleheader at home yesterday by scores of 19-10 (after leading 5-0!) and 9-8 (after giving up four runs in the top of the 9th). Human redneck soundboard Hawk Harrelson is now on suicide watch.

I took so much genuine joy in this when I heard it on the radio.  On the same day the Hawks were honored in the manner in which they were to boot.  What a disgrace; I'd be so disgusted if I were fan (I mean....been there plenty of times so I pretty much know how miserable and pissed off I'd be).

While we patiently wait out Year 2 of a seemingly coherent plan, I will not deny that I am thoroughly enjoying what a goddamn trainwreck that is on the south side.

I knew they'd bottom out at some point thanks to Kenny's doings but I didn't really think it'd be this bad. They're looking at the Cubs who are losing with a purpose and wondering what the hell their own is.
