So, now Coppock has learned the tools of the con man first hand.

This could spell doom for the Monsters in the Morning, too.  Not only is NextStep their "title sponsor" but they don't have a lot of other sponsors apparently.  Niles Notre Dame high school is one of their bigger sponsors, and that can't bode well.

How much would it cost to sponsor a segment on that show if NDHS is a sponsor?

Monsters in the Morning sponsored by Hire Jim Essian?  I'd suggest Desipio, but Kermit's gone big time.

They'd probably make Kerm join the show.

There's only one person who can save those idiots now.

I think he's more of the appendix of Desipio.  Yeah, it's here and you're vaguely aware of it, but only if reminded.  The only time anyone notices it is when it ruptures (on Weebs in the video game thread).  Beyond that, though, it's basically useless and offers no redeeming value.

I'm sure it's part of his ChicagoNow deal.  He and Kaplan are going to do shirtless weather at 7:45 every day.

That doesn't make it worse.  Now, if it were all three of them...

Per Hit and Ralph on the Score, Gerald Perry has been fired by Jim Hendry.

Von Joshua, c'mon down.

Was he the sax player for Wild Cherry?

Perry gets credit for turning the offense around last season, and now it's his fault they're not hitting?  When is it okay for Hendry to tell Soriano (for the last month), Theriot, Milton, Soto and Fontenot to nut up and hit the fucking ball?

You're right. A front office guy telling at a bunch of major league players to "nut up" has a 90% success rate of producing offensive results. Does it work when you do that on the Xbox?

I do agree that making Perry the scapegoat for these buttchuggers is pretty ridiculous.

On the Xbox, I'd just trade Theriot and Cotts for A-Rod.

This is most likely meaningless, but here are the White Sox team OBPs and AL rank under Von's tutelage:

1998: .339, 7th in the AL
1999: .337, 11th in the AL
2000: .356, 4th in the AL (helped by a ridiculous .436 from the Big Blurt)

So after a really good offensive season in which they won the division and then got swept in the first round of the playoffs, the Sox struggled the first couple months of 2001. Then they fired their hitting coach and proceeded to start hitting again.

Hopefully history repeats itself (except for the small matter of the Sox finishing 3rd in 2001).

Frankly, that show needs to have doom spelled for it, since North and Patterson are too dumb to do it on their own, and Jiggs is too busy eating.

NNDH is a sponsor?

North is an assistant basketball coach at the school.  Something tells me they aren't paying much for the air time.

I guess North and Coppock are the clean ones.

Quotethe civil lawsuit, the SEC charged Hernandez of operating a Ponzi scheme and diverting investor funds to buy cars, jewelry and a piano among other things. He also transferred funds to the bank accounts of two other companies he controlled, including Spectrum Entertainment Group Inc., which funded the talk show, Chicago Sports Webio, the SEC said.

The complaint also said that Hernandez is a convicted felon and that he and his wife, Gina Hernandez, have filed for bankruptcy in 2004, 2005 and 2006. In 1998, Hernandez was convicted of wire fraud arising from previous employment at a bank.

The best thing about Kerm joining ChicagoNow will be when you click the "Our Blogs" tab, HJE will be right above Kap's corner.

There goes the fucking neighborhood.
