Just in case anyone was wondering, Tyrus would like you to know that he's the starting Power Forward for the Bulls.

The draft! I keep getting the question "what's up with the two forwards?" Let me say this, I'm the starting power forward and I don't plan on playing anywhere but Chicago. Some may say I'm arrogant, or full of myself, some may even say I'm crazy! I'm just giving yall the truth.

In other news, Tyrus Thomas has a blog.

His literacy is more of a shock than anything, here.

I would imagine he updates like seven times one day and then only once the following day.

Then Vinny Del Negro forgets to read it in during the playoffs.

To the three other people who read this thread: do you agree with the Bulls that $20 mildo is too much for Amare? Or is this just another excuse for not paying the luxury tax? (let's just assume McGraw isn't talking out of his ass)

QuoteThat raises another question: If the Suns have discussed moving Stoudemire to Golden State or Houston, why aren't the Bulls getting involved? They probably would if Stoudemire agreed to a contract extension worth $14-15 million per season. The Bulls don't want to make the trade and then pony up $20 million per when Stoudemire becomes a free agent next year. They'd feel better paying Bosh that kind of money.

I'd say microfracture surgery has a lot to do with it.

The microfracture surgery he had 3 years ago and returned from to play 82 games?

I'm going to go on record as saying, all things being equal as far as contracts and so forth, I would rather have Amare on the Bulls than Bosh.  And I really like Chris Bosh.

Well his minutes were up and his production was down but he's still pretty damn good.

I agree, Amare's the better player. His 2004 and 2007 seasons are both better than anything Bosh has put up. It's just a question of whether his knee holds up - his very good 2007 was post-microfracture, so that's encouraging. And even though Bosh is about a year and a half younger, he's actually logged more minutes. Some statfaggotry - Bosh looks to be the better passer, but Amare is better pretty much everywhere else.

Amare
16,198 minutes
22.6 PER
.542 Effective FG %
14.8 Total Rebound %
6.7 Assist %

Bosh
16,710 minutes
20.7 PER
.490 Effective FG %
14.5 Total Rebound %
10.3 Assist %

DPD.

For the record, I am totally for Amare over Bosh.
For all the statfaggy reasons.

Those aside, my Dustygut tells me that Amare is not a guy you want to spend a ton of money on.
He's pretty "me-first", and just doesn't feel like the max-deal kind of guy.

However, Rose seems like someone who you can build around without worrying about a ton of ego.

Translation: I have no idea. I like Amare a lot, he's immensely talented and competitive. He's also seems a bit delusional about his own talent and extremely self-absorbed.

I remember this from a D-Backs game last year.
As if anyone was confused as to who the 6'11 black dude in Phoenix was.

I can't believe I even know these people. I'm ashamed of my internet life.

Part of me was concerned that his numbers were Nash/D'Antoni inflated but then I remembered that we have a pretty nice PG in town.  Furthermore, though he's a dipshit, Vinny's background is in Phoenix and that type of system.

I can't really fault the Bulls for feeling that Bosh represents a more stable and a more likely guarantee on their investment.  I can fault them, however, if they miss out on both by passing* on the more talented of the two.

*I say this knowing full well there's been no indication that Amare to the Bulls is even in the works, let alone realistic.

Amare's going to my Warriors to play with STEPH CURRY.
