This sounds bad:

QuoteChicago Bulls guard Ben Gordon(notes) and Milwaukee Bucks forward Charlie Villanueva(notes) flew to Detroit on Wednesday morning for a mid-day meeting with team president Joe Dumars and indications are both are moving rapidly toward deals with the Detroit Pistons, league and sources close to the two players told Yahoo! Sports.

Hope everyone enjoys the 90-ppg, 33-win Bulls next season.

I'm fine with losing Gordon if they end up with Amare, Bosh, or Wade. I know it shouldn't be an either/or proposition, but I'd rather Reinsdorf's cheap ass go over the luxury tax for an actual top 10 NBA talent.

If they lose Gordon AND don't acquire an established star by this time next year, who's up for flipping Huey's Malibu over on top of Reinsdorf, Paxson and Gar?

Huey will be thrilled if the Bulls don't re-sign Gordon. Hooray for that.

I'm kind of okay with them not re-signing Gordon.
I mean, you can just slot Wayne Ellington into the SG role.

Wait, what?
I can't believe I even know these people. I'm ashamed of my internet life.

I think he's more of the appendix of Desipio.  Yeah, it's here and you're vaguely aware of it, but only if reminded.  The only time anyone notices it is when it ruptures (on Weebs in the video game thread).  Beyond that, though, it's basically useless and offers no redeeming value.

Amare's going to my Warriors to play with STEPH CURRY.

You're awesome.

Thanks.  I did that special for the 4 people that read this thread.

Just because we don't post don't mean we don't read, sucka!

Seconded.  You guys almost make me interested in watching the Bulls.  I actually mean that as a compliment.

Forget about the Bulls and just follow my lead, BK.  I don't watch crappy basketball and I never get attached to teams.  If some basketball team wanted me to follow them blindly and obsess over them, then they should have been the cubs.

Kerm's got his hands full with Notre Dame football.  Give him some space.

There's a reason the Sons of Jim Essian play on Saturday afternoons.  A big, fat reason.
Hire Jim Essian!

I agree with all of this.  They should be creative enough to find a way to keep their second-best player, but I guess that's not possible.

Losing Gordon is a big loss short-term, still seems like the right decision long-term.
He is better at scoring than pretty much anyone else on the Bulls is at anything (except Rose at being awesome), so it's hard to lose a guy like that.
Still, it's hard to imagine a championship team with Ben Gordon getting a sizable chunk of the salary cap.
I can't believe I even know these people. I'm ashamed of my internet life.

Who cares. What's the difference between 33 wins with no playoffs and 41 wins but losing in the first round? Yeah I was sucked into the Celtics series, but it was pretty meaningless.
