Chris Mannix reported this AM that he thinks Detroit is also going to end up with Tyson Chandler.
Which maybe makes a little more sense, but they still just shelled out $95 million to Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva which is space crazy.

But fuck Detroit, I didn't want BG for another 5 years at $55 million, but it sure leaves a big hole.
Going all in for the Free Agent class of '10 seems like too big a gamble (see McGrady, Hill).

Watching Salmons launch 20 shots a game is a very painful proposition.

None of the available FA's in '09 seem like a particularly good fit.

Well if they get Chandler it makes a little more sense but not really if Gordon is running the point and feeding him.  Gordon is a shooting guard, not the point guard Tyson needs to clean up after and take feeds from.

Flawed as Gordon is, he is very important to the bulls.  I just don't get why the bulls don't even offer him a contract.   Who is going to score next year for this team?  I am not really looking forward to Rose killing himself next year trying to get this team to 40 wins.

Unless you're bringing him on for a slim salary that only lasts for one year, Jannero Pargo doesn't help. Jannero Pargo hurts, especially if he's on the books beyond 2009-10.

Why? Because nobody ever remembers the shots that he misses. Nobody likes to think about on-ball defense, when booming three-pointers can be reflected upon. And nobody obsesses over the free throws JP doesn't shoot.

Chicago wants to sign this guy, because you've heard of him. Either the team is awful at player evaluation, and doesn't understand advanced (or even obvious) basketball metrics, or the Bulls are evil geniuses, bent on keeping the moderate NBA fans coming back for more, filling up that stadium.

Or they could tell you that he's some sort of answer, sign him beyond this season, and continue to pile "assets" without actually trying to build anything more than a second round hopeful. As it's always been ... prove me wrong, Bulls. Please.

I'm with you 100% on this. My friends (the ones that care about the Bulls) shared an intense hatred of all things Jannero Pargo while he was here. This potential signing makes me very, very sad.
