It also seems to be blissfully unaware that almost all of the commenters to the article praised it.

What a shitshow.
Just a sloppy, undisciplined team.  Garbage.

What a shitshow.

Seriously, like 8 people said something on Twitter that it was stupid and, conversely, 8 or so people commented that it was well written (though they disagreed.)

If I was Trueblood, just prior to locking myself in my closet for the rest of my life, I would be pissed at this dude for calling even more attention to my stupid article that 50% of people thought was basically fine.

A think piece on what to do if Theo were to leave of his own volition / inability to agree on a new contract might be worth the time to write.  TWO pieces on choosing to let him go because he be, "very expensive...to retain, and the groundwork he has laid ought to allow even slightly less talented replacements to thrive," is insipid.

How long would it take to write "Promote Jed Hoyer"?

Any pieces on any hypothetical Epstein scenarios are kind of a waste of time. The Ricketts' pockets are deep enough to where money isn't going to be an issue. Theo isn't going to leave when he's this close to adding "won a World Series with the Chicago Cubs" to his Hall of Fame plaque.

And since the only person dumber than Trueblood in the Cubs organization is Crane Kenney, who has no power over the baseball operations side of the world...I'd say changing for the sake of changing isn't likely either.

And Epstein might be "expensive" relative to other front-office execs, but relative to the value he brings to the organization? He's a bargain.

When I read that piece I assumed that "Trueblood" was a made up name and that it was posted for laughs.
If I had known that I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself.   (Plagerized from numerous other folks)

As I commented at the bottom of that article, as ludicrous as this Trueblood piece was it doesn't come close to holding a candle to that prosaic diarrhea that was Yellon's "How many tears, Theo?" idiocy.
