I think everyone enjoys the @shitmydadsays guy (though I'm skeptical that it's entirely real), but c'mon.

So, maybe this is old news to people who give a shit, but I just happened to be looking at the Wikipedia entry for the "Shit My Dad Says" sitcom and noticed that, aside from casting Shatner as Dad, the show was developed by the genius minds behind "Will and Grace" and co-stars not one but TWO(!) MadTV alumni.

Holy shit is this going to be incomprehensibly awful.

The pure awesomeness of Shatner is what is going to keep this show on for a full season.  Beyond that, I don't know if the Shat has the willpower to single-handedly keep the show running.

This is interesting - if I recall in the book, his dad seems fairly "progressive" with respect to homosexuality (ie, the story about the two gay neighbors in the first apartment, etc...).  Artistic license at its best - seems like they might be trying to remake the character as the new Archie Bunker.
