Since the Lions game was blacked out here in Detroit, Fox aired the Min/SF game (nothing on CBS).  The announcers mics were muted the entire game which I believe was to further punish Lions fans.  Not only did they miss their team actually winning at home (and tix were going for $10 day of), but they got a half busted telecast of the only game being shown.

Good of Jim Schwartz to have his team share the celebration with such great fans.

It was rather entertaining at the bar I went to so I could catch the Bears game.  All during the 4th quarter people were filing in telling them to put the Lions game on.

Dude, it's blacked out.

No, they're on right now!

Dude, it's blacked out because you people don't go to the games.

It's blacked out here?

Dude, it's blacked out.

I was in detroit this weekend. Sweet Jebus is getting drunk cheap. It was $10 for a bucket of any 5 beers.

You think that's really cheap?  Man, some you guys really ARE completely oblivious to the 'uburbs.

Had lunch at the Hop Haus in Rogers Park yesterday and got buckets of 6 Budweisers for $12.

Methinks BH spends too much time at Excalibur.

How much are glow sticks at the hop haus?

I think he's more of the appendix of Desipio.  Yeah, it's here and you're vaguely aware of it, but only if reminded.  The only time anyone notices it is when it ruptures (on Weebs in the video game thread).  Beyond that, though, it's basically useless and offers no redeeming value.

That's a good thing because that's about $8 than I feel like paying for a sixer of Bud. And I've drunk many a sixer of Bud.

After listening the Stockton and that mope they paired him with, I think muting the mics were likely the only favor the NFL did the folks from Detroit.
Andre Dawson paid his $1,000 fine for the Joe West incident with style. Dawson wrote ``Donation for the blind`` in the memo section of his personal check.

Stockton needs to be put out to pasture.  He was worse than awful yesterday.  I can't believe that guy still broadcasts live sporting events.

Well fuck the Pack. Looks like the Bears are just gonna have to settle this thing Cutlero a Favreo and settle things man to man with the Vikings. How awful is the Packers offensive line? 20 sacks in 4 games. That's on pace for 80 sacks, which I think would be record. If I'm not mistaken, the 2002 Texans currently hold it with 76.
I will vow, for the sake of peace, not to complain about David Ross between now and his first start next year- 10/26/2015

On the way home, I caught some of the game on Westwood One. Kevin Harlan said the first place Vikings were ahead of the second place Packers.

That pissed me off, as tiny mistakes seem to do. In what world is a 2-1 team ahead of a 3-1 team?

Going into the weekend, the stat sheet had the Packers in second place due to head-to-head.

You expect Harlan to pay attention to anything other than what he has to do?  You really think he can walk and chew gum breathe at the same time?

I'm pretty sure after watching the Viqueens-Fudge Packers on ESPN last night that Jon Gruden would fellate and mount Brett Favre if given the opportunity.

Chucky would have to stand in line.  Bretsy is the all-time pin-up model for the sports media illiterati.
