As good as this team is now, I can't wait until Hossa comes back. They are going to be very good. Although I am concerned about the goaltending situation right now, Huet hasn't been very good.

Huet's no Partick Roy, but he's not this bad.

Plus, the Hawks' skaters executed perfectly from a couple minutes before Madden's goal on.

It's early in the season, plus there still might be a little Helsinki hangover.

They're not hitting on all cylinders - yet.

Oh, and as great as Kane was last night, how fucking great was Dave Bolland? His back looks fine - and 17-7 on faceoffs? Are you fucking kidding me?

After watching the first three goals multiple times, putting the blame on Huet isn't fair--the defensive breakdowns that lead to all three were god-awful.  You can't give pros opportunities to blast pucks uncontested from between the circles, or give Iginla a partial breakaway.  The worst goals allowed all night were Niemi's.  But because he got to play second (and settled down), the goaltending story is how bad Huet is, when I don't think that's right at all.

Granted you need a goalie to make a big save when the D fucks up, but at the same time, it's not really fair to blame the goalie when the other team is handed golden scoring opportunities and buries them.  That's what professionals do.

Also, the Hawks have 23 goals in 6 games, all without Hossa, and Toews has yet to bury one.

Khabby wasn't very good. If that was supposed to be his A game because he was returning to the UC then that's not good.
