Thursday's Hawks/Devils ought to be interesting - it's only the two best records in the NHL.

Dallas and Jersey make up the last part of the tough part of the schedule that started with Detroit, San Jose, Nashville x 2. 3-1 to start it isn't too shabby. Detroit is really only considered tough because of their name and reputation but neither game was really competitive on the scoreboard.

The second half of January will be interesting given the final eight games are on the road including another jaunt through Western Canada. Another game with the Canucks should make for beautiful television.

Out of this stretch I'm glad that the Hawks stuck it to Nashville and increased their lead in the division.
