Piss poor game from Huet tonight.  If the Wild start Harding, they probably win it in regulation.

Still, it's not Minnesota gave the league a template to beat the Hawks.  If teams are going to send 4 and 5 guys low in the zone and then depend on their goalie to bail them out on all the odd man breaks, well, good luck to them.

Huet was bad tonight. But a lot of goalies would look crappy behind that defensive effort in the third period, too. Like others have noted, glad we play again at home tomorrow night.

However, if tonight's turn of events (a four-goal lead in the seventh minute of the third transforming into an L -- holy crap) can be used as added incentive to avoid letting off the accelerator in a playoff game in May or June, I'm all for it.

The Wild was very effective at getting a big body in front of the net to screen Huet on at least 2 goals.

Unfortunately, that body belonged to Brent Seabrook.

So is it better to keep your guys by the blue line, and allow more shots, even though they may be weak and low percentage shots?

I'm asking because I don't know.  Is it better to allow 35 weak shots that your PANK goalie can stop, or to pin teams down to where they only get a dozen shots, but a couple are high percentage?

I know the Hawks don't have a world-class goaltender to match their world-class forwards and D-men, but it'd be nice if these two guys could step up and pick up the team.  It seems that's the least they can do for being allowed to sit back stress-free most of the game.  I'll be pissed if medicore goaltending leads to an early playoff exit.
