Also, how badly of a concussion did Seabrook suffer?

The fact that he was knocked out would not be a good sign, methinks.

Having sai thatd, and this may be premature splooge, but I wonder if the Seabs hit may have been some sort of twisted blessing.  It revealed Byfuglien to have more useful value than previously considered, and Seabs' absence demonstrated that even the guy who has been a bit off for the better part of the year is still better than the alternative.  Add to the fact that Biscuit seemed to play like his "old" (read:  2008/2009) self last night, and I think once the recently-acquired Yon Yonson comes back from his upper-body injury, the defensive depth would seem to be stable enough to absorb Campbell's absence for another 5 weeks.

Don't fall for it Huey.  Buff plays his best hockey when yanked out of his comfort zone.  He ramps it up everytime he's benched, or moved to another line.  Once he settles in again, he coasts.

The only reason I asked was because it seemed like he was kind of rushed back, especially for a guy who has already had a concussion this year.
This is so bad, I'd root for the Orioles over this fucking team, but I can't. Because they're a fucking drug and you can't kick it and they'll never win anything and they'll always suck, but it'll always be sunny at Wrigley and there will be tits and ivy and an old scoreboard and fucking Chads.

Agreed.  I was wincing myself.

But then he drove whats-his-name- into the glass behind the net, and he seemed like angry bear that was stabbed in the neck.  I'll take it.
I think he's more of the appendix of Desipio.  Yeah, it's here and you're vaguely aware of it, but only if reminded.  The only time anyone notices it is when it ruptures (on Weebs in the video game thread).  Beyond that, though, it's basically useless and offers no redeeming value.

This would be more apt if Burish was playing like someone that had a pulse (though coming off a six month layoff he gets some slack) but good for a laugh:

Remember when on his first shift back he assisted on a goal and then got inot a fight on the ensuing faceoff?  Yeah, can that guy come back and play?

Right now I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. ACL surgery, all that.

I think he'll be revved up by the playoffs. He's been invisible since that game.

The fourth line has been dogshit lately. Not just Burish.

Excluding the two goal game from Kopecky. I'm excluding it because otherwise he's an asswipe. Unless crashing into people and losing your helmet are desired skills.

I desire that he do it in the opposite order, if that helps.

Yeah.  At this point it's pretty clear.  You can argue that Q created this "controversy" when he started trying to win every game in December, but what's done is done.  Most of us had said all along that puck possession and team defense (limting number of shots, if not quality) is the best recipe for this team.  They have the ability the control play and wear teams down.  Not sure if either one of these guys will be able to stand on their head for the one or two playoff  games when they may be required to do so, but I have a slightly better feeling about Niemi being able to do so right now.  Let Huet keep getting starts down the stretch, though, because he may get his chance in the playoffs and he can shut a lot of fucking people up for good if he gets hot then.

Goaltending isn't the problem.

The shit defense this team has ben playing, even before losing Campbell and Johnsson has made the goalie irrelevant - it currently doesn't matter if 1961-vintage Glenn Hall is in the pipes.

Would someone get the Cubs out of St. Louis and back to Arizona?
