Aside from getting straight up laid out by Buff a couple times, Old Man Pronger was on the ice for every Hawks goal (with the exception of the PP goal during his penalty) and for none of the Flyer goals.

Pronger was a minus-5, I believe.

More amazingly, he was finally called for a cross-check.

He was -5 because power play goals don't count towards plus-minus.

And he was called for hooking. His cross-checking immunity remains in effect.

According to the Score's morning show, Pronger has never posted a -5 in a single game during his career.

History will be made.

Without hyperbole, this was the worst game of Chris Pronger's career.

His minus-5 rating was literally the worst finish he ever posted in his 1,273 career games between the regular season and playoffs. Just one shot. Only three hits -- even Toews had two. One giveaway, no takeaways. It's no wonder that Peter Laviolette didn't use him much at the start of the third period.

While the focus is obviously VanRiemsdyk, it just underscores how good a pick Patrick Kane was.  At the time, he was not considered the slam dunk No. 1 pick, mostly because of his size.  In retrospect, that attitude seems assinine.
