While the focus is obviously VanRiemsdyk, it just underscores how good a pick Patrick Kane was.  At the time, he was not considered the slam dunk No. 1 pick, mostly because of his size.  In retrospect, that attitude seems assinine.

His other article today asks if Buff's great game 5 was in part due to Pronger's terrible game. What kind of question is that?

Oddly enough, even the "overhead" shots from the UC were not overhead.  They weren't nearly as bad as the Philly "overhead" camera, but if a flippin camera exists right on the goal line, shouldn't the goal deciding replays come from that camera?  Also acceptable would be a bunch of laser beams that come out of the far back of the goal line that can decide if it crossed.

This.  Heard it on the NHL station on the Sirius.  I can't wait for the blackhawks to put these them away tomorrow.  Same goes for Pronger. It feels like he is trying too hard to be this guy who we are supposed to hate.

Laviolette is quite the douche. Also, he is an awful coach, at least to me anyway. Laviolette has made some boneheaded moves in this series.

How would you prevent it from detecting when anything else crossed the line, though?  I guess it would be great when the goalie is nowhere near the line, but wouldn't help much, otherwise.
