So Kyle Beach is already destroying everyone at camp. Here's one example. There are plenty of others.

Oh boy. He just set back Norwegian hockey 30 years.

Aren't you supposed to wait for the other guy to drop his gloves and stick before you start punching?

Kyle Beach spits on your conventions.

Note to self-- Get restraining order against Messr. Beach, distance: spitting plus 2 feet
Andre Dawson paid his $1,000 fine for the Joe West incident with style. Dawson wrote ``Donation for the blind`` in the memo section of his personal check.

On the topic of potential performance bonuses for Beach (above), I guess it's a good thing the CBA doesn't allow bonuses for PIM.

More from prospects camp...

http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=534142

QuoteJust two scrimmage sessions into the camp and there's already been one scrap involving top forward prospect Kyle Beach, two highly-regarded brothers (Jimmy Hayes and Kevin Hayes) playing on the same line and even a player checked over the boards into the bench.

That hit was delivered by a kid named Mitch Versteeg, who is former Hawks forward Kris Versteeg's younger brother. Mitch Versteeg is a free agent invite to the camp, and unlike his cut-up brother, his only "rap" of the day came when he blasted 6-2, 201-pound Andy Bohmbach with a clean check in the second scrimmage.

And what reality show would be complete without inner turmoil?

Leave it to Beach and 6-2, 200-pound free agent John Kurtz for that aspect. Kurtz hopped onto the ice in the second scrimmage and invited the 6-3, 210-pound Beach to tango. Beach accepted, the gloves came off and both combatants got some good shots in against each other.

Making it even stranger is that Kurtz is Beach's roommate for the camp.

"It was just a situation where he asked me," said Beach, the Hawks' top pick (No. 10) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. "Guys are going to try and make a name for themselves. They all want to do it, and I'll give 'em the opportunity."

I think he's more of the appendix of Desipio.  Yeah, it's here and you're vaguely aware of it, but only if reminded.  The only time anyone notices it is when it ruptures (on Weebs in the video game thread).  Beyond that, though, it's basically useless and offers no redeeming value.

The fight in the YouTube video (apparently one of three Beach fights that game) is with Mathis Olimb, a Norwegian not named John Kurtz.

Yeah well I only watched the video once and didn't feel like going back.  Screw you jerks.

Nice that I can already look ahead to the Hawks.  Fuck you, Cubs.

It's pretty much time for a new thread given the fact that we're discussing prospect camp already. And how many of you ever thought you'd give a shit about hockey prospects? Show of hands? Not too many hands, I see. Excellent.

Ok, new thread time.
