I just called DJ, (spouse).  She is at the Chinese market buying take out for our annual Jewish Christmas ritual.  Movie...followed by a movie...followed by Chinese food...followed by another movie.

How do you buy takeout at a grocery store two days in advance?

Looks you're not as Jewish as you thought.

I just walked back into my house after shoveling snow and watching the deer in my backyard. It's a full moon tonight and the nocturnal wildlife around the bird feeder is far more watchable than these two teams. Going to light a fire, pour a large vodka and not think about work tomorrow.

...I kind of wish no one on the Cubs would wear 34 again after Kerry.

I know that's both stupid and meatball and I don't care.

I like when people say "I really like Kerry Wood" and the response is "he was actually not that good here are some stats."

Go fuck yourself.

I don't even know what stats people would show to support that. I guess ones related to him being injured, but shut up anyway.

I just learned by reading this that Lester actually called Kerry to ask him if he could wear 34.

My love for this happening is completely irrational and over the top.

Quote
When it came to new ace Jon Lester calling him to ask to wear his old number 34, Wood was humble but surprised.

"I thought it was great. It was no longer my number to give away. I wish it was, because I could have made a good trade for it. I think it was great. I am honored to have him wear it and am sure he will do it proud."
I can't believe I even know these people. I'm ashamed of my internet life.

Cheap guy who got on base and hit homers and played good defense WITH flair to boot. Yeah who needs that.

There were fans upset that they traded Emilio Bonifacio and someone doesn't understand people being sad to see an actually good (albeit expendable) player go?
I will vow, for the sake of peace, not to complain about David Ross between now and his first start next year- 10/26/2015

Hell, Apex was upset they traded Kevin Hart.

Hell, Apex was upset they traded Kevin Hart Juan Cruz.

Fixed.

But your point is valid.

No, I get he's a useful player.  But so is Fowler.  Calling this trade "painful" and "sad"?  That's what I don't get.  Painful and sad is when a pet dies, not when one useful player is traded for another one.  I don't think it hurts to lose Luis Valbuena.

At that point, people were being sarcastic, as I was, when I said I was butthurt about the Juan Cruz trade.

Ok, that's not true. I was actually butthurt and I still am.
