Ditto.

You're both Irish, so let me explain something:

You know when you're sitting in your wattle-and-daub hut, drinking your breakfast whiskey and eating your first potato of the day, then you open your eyes and suddenly you're back in your sleep-bog, still sober and hungry? Unless it was due to one of your not infrequent blackouts, that whiskey and potato morning was just what we non-micks call "a dream."

Also Irish. Also generally don't remember my dreams. Also like potatoes.

The only dream I usually remember is this recurring one where I plummet down the middle of a long stairwell, bouncing off the handrail at every level. The dream just sort of repeats itself over and over like until I wake up.

Happens like once or twice a week.

Anyway, fuck everything about this picture.

I remember some of my dreams, but I can't remember ever having a recurring dream since very early childhood.

I like potatoes, provided they are ground up with onions mixed with a little eggs and salt and fried until they are golden brown.  Does that make me Irish?

... I kind of want Bryant to make the Opening Day roster, partially because it'd be fun to hear the Bleacher Nation/Theo-can-do-no-wrong crowd try to backtrack from their team-control stance.

Only kind of though.

So you want to see Theo do something stupid just to laugh at his supporters? You're doing a bit right?

I've come in contact with Cleveland Cavs fans who are still asshurt about LeBron leaving. They got so locked into their hatred of him that they supported the team during the ensuing lean years and I swear to God they sometimes post about whether they'd like having a Kyrie/Wiggins + somebody else combo struggle through early exits before getting to the top of the league. They rip LeBron for forcing the Wiggins/Love trade - valid, I guess - and seem to want any excuse to show their displeasure for him so they don't come off as superfans. I don't know what all this means vis-a-vis Eli's post, but I think my new, reluctant association with these people belongs in this thread somewhere.

It would definitely be amusing, because I'm sure we'd have a number of people saying Theo is so smart he and Boras have already got a handshake agreement in place for Bryant to sign an extension.

That said one of the things that pisses me off about this is it's somehow become a THEO CAN DO NO WRONG vs. HOW MANY MORE TEARS THEO showdown, when you could think Theo Epstein was a blatant fucking idiot and still see the logic in keeping Bryant down. Morrissey did the same thing when he managed to turn everyone who disagreed with his asinine article into Theo jock-riders, rather than people who can work out the basic math that 6.95>6.
