... I'm starting to wish the Cubs had traded Castro for pitching in the offseason.

Buck up, little camper.  There's still hope they'll be able to swindle Amaro by using him to get Hamels somehow.

I think Amaro is dumb to the other extreme -- he thinks he should get two of Russell, Soler or Bryant for Hamels.

A completely unsourced rumor I heard stated that Amaro basically wouldn't even discuss a package with the Cubs that didn't include Russell or Bryant and the Cubs rightly told him to fuck off.

ESPN bought a stake in them a month or so back. I wish it would happen, but I don't think it's gonna happen.

So no piece from them on how MLB can form a partnership with online gambling, and still claim gambling as the cardinal sin?

As long as the players aren't gambling on baseball, I don't think they have a problem with it.

Until the first time a player is caught playing on DraftKings?

Me neither, but now they got Lester-Arrieta-Hammel vs. three struggling pitchers in Arizona. I think this is gonna end up a pretty good road trip, which is good, because the west coast swings are usually trouble.

Until I went to a Blue Jays game, I didn't know they had a team song they play during the seventh inning stretch.

I think he's lost a couple ticks on his fastball. Pitch-wise he may be compensating for loss of voice. I thought he was amazing when I was younger but now, there's something amiss.
