Eli bringing up all the negative shit nobody wants to talk about during staff meetings.

This is my informal role at my real job -- to stop bad ideas from moving forward. I enjoy it, if you can possibly imagine.

I hate to say it, but that sounds...fun.

It's mostly just me saying, "I really don't think we need an app, guys."

... TJ wearing tassled loafers. Paul and TDubbs sexually harassing the few female employees we had to ensure we're a complete and totally helpless sausage fest, not that we needed much help. SKO writing super long angry memos that nobody reads. Archer hanging out at everybody else's cubicle just talking about, you know, stuff. Dan and ChuckDickens doing all the actually useful work that we all eat off of. Slaky beating the shit out of Ted Cruz...

I admit it...I got off pretty easy here.

... I'm enjoying the motherloving heck out of this GOP meltdown: as ye sow, so shall ye reap.  It's just a shame that the Democrats aren't going to choose somebody less loathsome than Hillary to be president for the next eight years.

That's why nobody over here is particularly enjoying this, save for some loathsome Hillary supporters, whose numbers should greatly diminish starting sometime next year. Then again, maybe not. If they're still on that train now, they may never hop off.

Yeah I think Hillary supporters are like Trump supporters in that if they're still on her bandwagon at this point what the fuck are you going to do to change their minds? The fact that she's the only one who can "save" us from the mess of the GOP field is only going to harden them.

As a Democrat, I can easily rattle off a litany of better candidates than Hillary. But if you stack up everyone who is still running on both sides, she's the least detestable. I'd say we deserve better than that, but here we are.

I would say Bernie is the least detestable. I'm not really a socialist but he seems like an actual, honest to god, decent fucking human being. He stands no chance though, so yeah, if you're taking Hillary vs the GOP field, sure.

I find her a lot more detestable than Rubio or Kasich also.

Would I vote for either against her in a national election? Kasich yes, Rubio maybe.

But in the same ballpark as Cruz.

Actually, I don't mind her. I think the general outlook the public has about her is the inevitable result of being in the spotlight for nearly three decades, and being made a target of a political opponent whose chief strategy appears to be divisiveness. If Michelle Obama decided to run for office and remain in politics, people would hate her just as much.

I think the big problem the Clintons have always had is that they were, are, and will remain stand-offish with the press, or anybody who questions their reasons and motives. Maybe that means they have something to hide, and certainly Hillary has done her share of questionable, if not detestable things, but I don't think she's any different from most people who've made a life out of serving in politics.

He's been saying the same shit for 20+ years. He's sincere. It's how he actually feels. It's not what he thinks will get him elected. KD would be proud.

I find the fact that Rubio is a robot and a puppet of a party that's now a complete clown show to be pretty detestable.

As far as Kasich, I don't know. The only "good" thing people have to say about him is that he's a moderate compared to the rest of the GOP field but that's a low bar to clear and a lot of people have pointed out that Cleveland's water is worse than Flint's and he's done nothing about it. I really doubt the difference in integrity or humanity between him and Clinton could fill a thimble.

I mean I don't deny Hillary Clinton is a perfectly loathsome person, it just depends on what you find loathsome about her. Most criticism of her from the right is exaggerated considering she's only moved to the right since Bill first entered office. Her major donors are weapons corporations and defense industries and the financial industry.

I am far more willing to sympathize with criticism of her from the left, where her gleefully voting for the Iraq War, carrying on drone strikes, etc. make her a fair target. I just have no idea why, if those were the things you disliked about her, you'd seek comfort in the arms of any Republican.
