.....I keep backing Colvin because I don't want to lose an argument with my brother.

I think you've already lost.

Nobody ever wins when arguing with my brother. He wanted Ryno, but I was fine with giving the job to Quade.....and now to him Quade is "my guy". He said Fukudome needed to play out of respect for Asian culture in case we ever want to sign another Asian player, but I said Colvin should get at-bats....and now Colvin is "my boy".

After all the Cutler arguments we've had, I don't know why I still bother with it.

I don't know why anyone would bother arguing with this awesome a perspective.

This is my new favorite argument.

I was speechless when he said that. To be fair, he had a couple concussions when we were kids. Family room wrestling is a tough sport.

You have to lure the opponent to sit on your chest and then wait until they start tapping the sternum with a finger. Then, while they're distracted, you swing up your legs around their neck from behind and fling them to their doom.

I did this as a skinny thirteen year old at tennis camp in 1972.
It was to a bully that had been picking on everybody that he thought he could take.
The sound of the back of his skull hitting the concrete dorm room floor was most gratifying.

Lesson for the bully: Don't mess with a kid who knows how to fight dirty and will soon be bigger than you.

Anyone around labor day weekend for some bar activities? Probably in Bucktown.

If we can settle on a date, I can plan ahead. It's required these days, sadly.

We'll drink some Brovaltine to celebrate.

...what Bobby Valentine is saying about Castro specifically (and by extension the Cubs), in the 7th inning is making a lot of sense to me.
Andre Dawson paid his $1,000 fine for the Joe West incident with style. Dawson wrote ``Donation for the blind`` in the memo section of his personal check.

I thought it was crap. Nothing more than ESPN giving Bobby V a chance to interview for the Cubs managerial job on the fucking air.

CASTRO TOOK HIS GLOVE OFF!!! HE DOESN'T CARE!!!

CASTRO IS SPITTING SUNFLOWER SEEDS!!! HE DOESN'T CARE!!!!

Valentine sounded just like the meatheads who rip Cutler for the look on his face. HE DOESN'T HAVE THE DA FIRE OR DA PASHIUN!!!

There are a lot of reasons to rip the Cubs and Castro but that entire monologue was a steaming pile of shit.

Fuck Bobby V.
