I'm not good at phonetically getting this right but "lareh-nicks" as opposed to "lar-eenks". I've never heard it pronounced as the second until the other day. I've heard the one I've been doing a shitload.

Then my 8th grade social studies teacher noted the error and I changed my ways. The mispronunciation was further eradicated by the end of the Cold War and the breakup of the country in favor of the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
