I loved watching Charlie Grimm clown around in the third base coaching box.

Hey, now, there were 3 or 4 years in there that had playoff teams.

55 years since I got out of law school and I am still having nightmares about delaying the writing of term papers and showing up for final exams without having ever attended class or opening up the textbook.

Glad to know those never, ever go away.

I still have a recurring dream that I'm visiting my high school, and I have to do one last performance of a play we did in 1993, but I have no costume or script.

I have a dream that I'm warming up in the bullpen at my high school baseball field and my skills are about what they are at present day. I never get the call and just stay out there helplessly until the game ends or it starts raining.

This sounds like something BC would dream.

Ditto.

You're both Irish, so let me explain something:

You know when you're sitting in your wattle-and-daub hut, drinking your breakfast whiskey and eating your first potato of the day, then you open your eyes and suddenly you're back in your sleep-bog, still sober and hungry? Unless it was due to one of your not infrequent blackouts, that whiskey and potato morning was just what we non-micks call "a dream."
