... talking of Aaron Sorkin, I've just started watching "The West Wing" on Netflix, having never really paid attention to it first time round.  I'm actually really enjoying it.

There are actually a few decent seasons before it goes completely off the rails.

It peaks when Jed rips a butt and cusses out God in Latin Josh meets with Adam Arkin's character in S2.

Just my two cents. But, yeah, it falls off pretty hard after that.

Yeah, that's probably the high water mark.

High water mark, certainly, but it's worth watching until Sorkin leaves at the end of s4.

Won't disagree, but since that one struck a little close to home regarding what Bartlett is facing, I figured I was overrating that ep.

I'll agree. Just get out before I did. Good god, that show got awful in the last couple of years.

Wife and I tried to rewatch the series a few years back. I think we made it through the first 3 or 4 episodes of Season 5 before we realized what total and utter shit it was. For what it's worth, people regard seasons 6 and 7 as being a bit better, but I'd still rather forget them than watch them again.

I'm a bit of a completionist so I went all the way through, and yes they got a bit better.

Don't hid this here where it indicates some kind of shame. I want to wear Harvey and Syndegaard and DeGrom's shredded UCLs on a string around my neck.
I will vow, for the sake of peace, not to complain about David Ross between now and his first start next year- 10/26/2015

...I don't care if Fowler comes back or not: if they let him walk, it's because it didn't make sense for the team.  That aside, I don't understand why you're posting about this in the "The West Wing" thread, though.

I dreamt last night that I was on my deathbed and the Cubs had still not won a World Series.
If I had known that I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself.   (Plagerized from numerous other folks)
