I disagree.  The whole point of the seventh inning shtick is to have some fun.  Otherwise we would be singing the last movement of Handel's Messiah.

My kids absolutely love Halloween.  
When I was a kid, I loved Halloween.  

I think it's a fun day and people who don't like it confuse me.
