I created a Patton Oswalt channel on Slacker. Hilarity ensued.

Excellent choice.  He's pretty hilarious.  I'm not a fan of David Cross, but would you mind referring me to some equally as funny comedians?  I know of Jim Gaffighan (I don't know if I should be ashamed of laughing heartily at him or not), Hedberg, Louis CK, and a few others.  I've pretty much burned through Slacker's bank of their work, though.

Mike Imbriglia, Todd Barry, Dave Attell, Greg Giraldo, Jeffrey Ross, Gilbert Goddfried, Brian Posehn are a few names I like.

Mike Birbiglia? Natalie Imbruglia?

Both are funny. Meant Mike Birbiglia.

Very funny guy. http://www.thisamericanlife.org/Radio_Episode.aspx?sched=1255

Does Zach G. still put out new stuff?  If he doesn't, listen to his old stuff.  He's terrific.

I tried this and you know what would be nice?  If the Zach G. channel on Slacker actually played Zach G.

Has anyone else had issues with those pesky m4a files?  Are you trying to play those files on a Windows media player and just get them to be recognized?  I know i have.

Luckily, now there's a cure!

Media Monkey can convert all your m4a (and almost any other format) files into mp3!  And, it's free!

But that's not all.  It also can organize your music library like iTunes, so if you hate Apple, here's your chance to tell them to fuck off!

OK...the one caveat, I can't find a way to un-DRM the protected mp4 files, yet.

You could always avoid both of those problems by purchasing through Amazon. Better quality (256 VBR for the most part), MP3 format, and no DRM.

Not exactly a music app, but there's a "group" on Facebook, called Today in Grateful Dead history and everyday they link a show from that day in history that you can listen to live.

Probably could have listened to these shows live without the Facebook "like" but for the "unwise in cool available things on the internet" like me, it's pretty awesome.

The 600 series had rubber skin. We spotted them easy, but these are new. They look human... sweat, bad breath, everything. Very hard to spot. I had to wait till he moved on you before I could zero on him.

Anyone here use Spotify premium? Does it work as well as advertised? Seems like the catalog is pretty complete, is there any reason to buy songs anymore if you have it?

I do. It's fantastic. It's not a complete catalog by any means but it's ample.

Dammit, beaten to it.  What Slak said.  There are a few gaps here and there, but nonethless I fucking LOVE Spotify Premium and can't imagine living without it.

If you download tracks for offline use, do they expire or something? I'm assuming there are limitations around this.

Not as long as you remain subscribed. I was listening to my starred songs on the plane yesterday. It was perfect and amazing.
