Sandwiches

I just went to Burt's Deli in Libertyville and had the "Yummie", which is corned beef, pastrami and cheese with horseradish and mustard on rye.

Didn't see a section devoted to this most manly of foods.

Finally somewhere I've been before you. That place is fantastic. The Yummie is outstanding and the owners couldnt be nicer. Ask them for a pickle and they'll give you as many as you want.

Highly recommended.

Yep. And the owners are real sweethearts.

Bonus - you can get a Dr. Brown's Cel-Ray to wash it down.

So YOU'RE the guy who drinks that.

Why anyone would drink a Cel-Ray when Black Cherry is available is beyond me.

That really was Mettawa. And he didn't really spend much time there anyway. And Ike carried Lake County handily in '52 and '56.

The corned beef at Kaufmann's in Skokie. You can even get deckel if you want to feel your blood come to a complete stop.

You won't find a better sandwich than the ones they make in Canada. Every sandwich made in Canada is superior to every sandwich ever made in the States.
