Watching "Avatar," I felt sort of the same as when I saw "Star Wars" in 1977. That was another movie I walked into with uncertain expectations. James Cameron's film has been the subject of relentlessly dubious advance buzz, just as his "Titanic" was. Once again, he has silenced the doubters by simply delivering an extraordinary film. There is still at least one man in Hollywood who knows how to spend $250 million, or was it $300 million, wisely.

Holy. shit. That is what a big budget movie should look and sound like. Overwhelmingly awesome in 3D.

Yeah there's some clunky dialogue and lame preachy stuff but it's ridiculously outweighed by all the cool shit on the screen.

Plot-wise, yeah that's about right. But you should really let Fork tell his own jokes here.

This movie was fucking awesome. I'd almost completely agree with R dash V's review. There was some dialogue that could only be described as cheesy but it didn't matter so much.

I would recommend that everyone try to see this while it's in 3D. I can't even imagine watching this on a regular DVD player.

Just saw it.  Great visuals, but who writes Cameron's dialogue?  George Lucas?

And a better name would be "An Inconvenient Truth About Dancing With Blue Cats (with the ending from Aliens with the roles reversed)."
