Shanahan kind of looks like a redskin.  An aged redskin, but a redskin.

I get it.
I think he's more of the appendix of Desipio.  Yeah, it's here and you're vaguely aware of it, but only if reminded.  The only time anyone notices it is when it ruptures (on Weebs in the video game thread).  Beyond that, though, it's basically useless and offers no redeeming value.

I thought all along that Lovie would be back. But things are turning ugly. Briggs, Urlacher, Hester and Utler have recently made loaded remarks to the media (If you're wondering which comments, use the internet) - revealing a franchise in total disarray. I'm thinking it's now at least 50/50 that Angelo can scapegoat Lovie and buy himself a little rope. This is, of course, horrible news, because Angelo is as culpable or more so for the disastrous state of things as Lovie. The Cutler Trade hath robbed him of draft picks to rebuild and Cutler has not provided him with any obvious proof that it was a good move.

The plan from here looks like it should be:

1. Fire Lovie, hire... fuck knows who.

2. Suck complete and utter balls in 2010.

3. Rebuild in 2011 with a Top-5 pick and free agents.

4. Profit.

The big, big, big trouble lies in Number 3. Because another wasted draft class could turn the Bears into the Lions. Angelo must go. How's his heart?

Cowher?  Gruden?  Rivera?  No-name assistant?  Urlacher?  DeRosa?
You two wanna go stick your wangs in a hornet's nest, it's a free country.  But how come I always gotta get sloppy seconds, huh?

I'd take Geraldo at this point, too.

I'm pretty sure there's no angst being spent in the United Center over Havlat's absence. He also hasn't gotten any Standing Os.

No one misses Havlat. Sad Panda made everyone a believer within his first couple of shifts.

Today has made me realize just how much I love the Hawks.

Only third time for me at UC so far but I ain't complainin'd.

This team is a salve for the raging BearsCubs herpes I've got.

Prior to the game, Jerry Angelo met with the press and was asked if Lovie Smith would be back next year.  Angelo replied that everyone would be evaluated following the season.  So that gives some hope.  Especially if the evaluators are watching the Ravens game today.
