Jay Cutler looked like he was having fun out there.
Andre Dawson paid his $1,000 fine for the Joe West incident with style. Dawson wrote ``Donation for the blind`` in the memo section of his personal check.

Williams played really well on the left side tonight against Allen.

I'm drunk, but Brad Biggs of the Sun-Times says:

http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2009/04/dollars_and_sense_the_orlando.html
2009

$1 million signing bonus
$3.4 million roster bonus
$250,000 workout bonus
$1.35 million base salary

Total: $6 million
Cap number: $5,333,333

2010

$250,000 workout bonus
$3.75 million base salary

Total: $4 million
Cap number: $4,333,333

2011

$250,000 workout bonus
$4.75 million base salary

Total: $5 million
Cap number: $5,333,333

Not sure what Brad Biggs of the Tribune says.

As far as I can figure, base salary means shit.  The only impact release of the player has is that signing and roster bonuses immediately count against the cap, instead of being pro-rated for the remainder.  Since the deal is 3 years I think that releasing Pace would mean an extremely managable $2.325 cap hit.  Maybe.  Only Oleg knows for sure.

Except I think next year is going to be uncapped anyway, so fuck it, release that washed up piece of shit.

THI. I think they mentioned later that he had 2 tackles as of the OT. I'm disappointed that this great Bears play hasn't been shown all year. It was a pretty impressive performance by all.

If those numbers are accurate, I think releasing Pace means $666,667 against the cap next year; or 2/3 of the signing bonus.  I have no idea what that would mean to an uncapped year.

How badly do I hate the Vikings?  I want the Bears to beat them, even if it means Lovie is back next year.

If Lovie comes back, last night will have had little or nothing to do with it.  Anyone else enjoy how, two weeks after he burned through all of his timeouts like a heroin addict 4 days from payday, he pocketed two timeouts at the end of regulation?  The only time all night I think agreed with Gruden was when he pointed out that the Bears should have been using their timeouts during that hillbilly fuck's game-tying drive.  I guess Lovie's strategy revolved around winning the coin toss and using their advantageous field positon to win the game in OT.  I've gone from defending this guy two months ago to absoultely wanting to punch him in his spleen while praying for his departure.

And it's nice to win games and not have the lingering bitterness that accompanies a lesser draft pick.  Fuck Denver.
I think he's more of the appendix of Desipio.  Yeah, it's here and you're vaguely aware of it, but only if reminded.  The only time anyone notices it is when it ruptures (on Weebs in the video game thread).  Beyond that, though, it's basically useless and offers no redeeming value.
