Let's say the Colts win the Super Bowl. Peyton Manning: best QB of all time?

Intrepid Reader:  Joe Montana

Nope.  Now I'm going to go upstairs and masturbate

Back to this. I'm assuming you're basing it on Super Bowl wins? I shouldn't have mentioned the Super Bowl, team accomplishments aren't really the best way to judge individual players.

If you had to win one game, would you take Montana in his prime over Manning in his prime?

I'd just like to vote "Yes" on the question that started of all this.
I can't believe I even know these people. I'm ashamed of my internet life.

Joe won a lot of games other than SB games.  As good as Manning is (and he's real good) I think I would go with Montana.  He always seemed to win the big games.

I just want to thank Kerm and Yeti for loving the Hartley kick that sent this historically laughable franchise to it's first Super Bowl.  Not only could that kick have been good from 55, but it split the uprights.  It also makes me chuckle that Hartley looks like the kind of kid that had to pause his game of Tony Hawk on the sideline before he went out and crushed Favre's ego with that boot.

By the way, he's only missed two field goals in his career (and one XP).  Last season he was perfect and this season he missed two field goals--one was a desperation 58 yarder in Washington (I think) and the other was a brainfart against Tampa Bay.  The sample size is small, but he's been money when needed.

Also, I'd give Montana just the slightest edge in the supporting cast and coaching categories.

Shouldn't Johnny Unitas enter this conversation somewhere, or does StagFAGGOTry preclude that?
