OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

24 - Day 8
« on: January 17, 2010, 09:13:59 PM »
It looks like the show is going right back to the same formula of seasons 1-6 after changing it slightly with season 7.  But the new CTU is hip and cool!  It's so cool, it looks like a night club, and Starbuck looks like a cocktail waitress.  As if the technology used in the previous seasons wasn't far-fetched enough, now it's so advanced that even Chloe can't keep up.  The CG backgrounds of New York look pretty terrible (they didn't shoot on-location), Freddy Prinze Jr. is a main character, and Elisha Cuthbert continues to not show her boobs.  It's going to be another great day with Jack Bauer.

I think Don King would have been much more convincingly cast as the new head of CTU.

Why does the new head morgan walk around like his bluetooth weighs 50 pounds?

I don't think it's a good sign when the most likable person at New CTU is Freddy Prinze.  Watching Walker turn into the new Jack, however, is pretty cool.

Wouldn't you think, that after 7 previous disasters, that the people at CTU would know to trust Jack?  and even Chloe for that matter?  This show is so unrealistic.

If this was the Old CTU, the second Starbuck left the office, Jack would have had a gun to her head to GET THE INFORMATION HE NEEDS!  Also, are they just waiting to reveal some kind of connection between her fake name and Richard Walsh from season 1?  Considering the fact that they almost never even give multiple characters the same first name on this show, it seems like there would be some point to giving her the same last name.

Clearly, Liberal Hollywood would name her character Dana Walsh.

Pelosi soft on terrorism? At least she's not directing her redneck Kerry Wood lookalike ex-boyfriend into a police warehouse to rip off evidence while nuclear material is on the loose in Manhattan!

A bunch of Ukrainians are the villains? And of the family of Ukrainians, only Oleg is dead so far? And they're all over 6-feet?

Not very realistic.

Man, that 11-midnight episode had all the gravitas of Ron Ely's portrayal of Doc Savage, Man of Bronze.
