I installed iOS4 on my 3G iphone, big mistake. Everything lags now.

I'm in the same boat. It's more or less rendered my email useless.

Double this.  Apps randomly quit and there's major lag on even simple tasks.  Someone recommended restoring the phone to the last OS, but I'm wary of doing that.

Yes. But it's a REALLY SOLID 15 minutes.

Mine had all sorts of software issues. I couldn't create a new text messaging thread without sending 2 duplicate texts to the same person. It would "freeze" every once in a while for about 5-10 seconds. Very annoying. That said, if AT&T had the BlackBerry touch phone I would have considered it.

Apple will offer you some options if you are not satisfied with your iPhone 4:

* A free Apple bumper, or a free carrying case from some other company. You will be able to order one from Apple's Web page later this week. (If you have already bought an Apple bumper, you get a refund for it. No refund if you bought another company's case, however.) This whole thing could be another tricky spot, because Mr. Jobs acknowledged that there were not nearly enough bumpers to go around, and there were not very many non-Apple cases available yet, either.

I bought a case last week but I'll take a free bumper if they're going to give it to me, but I'm sure it will be September/October before I get it.

I loved the software update to stop showing the reception is bad. Fixed.

Try holding the home button and on/off switch for 10 seconds to force a full reboot.  It won't touch your data, but it will rebuild part of the OS.  It helped my 2nd-gen iPod touch and I've read it works even better for the 3GS.

Got the iPhone 4 yesterday.  Other than an inability to play casette tapes, its great.  Feels great, works great, fast, good call clarity, and the calculator works (and it turns into a scientific calculator if you turn it sideways).

Anyone have issues with WiFi? My connection seems to be intermittent. It will work for a second, and then drop, and then kick back up. I use the default settings (which is DHCP, I believe). I don't believe it's a problem with my network, as my computer and secksbox retains connections. I also had this same issue at the fair connecting to their free WiFi.
