Quote from: Yeti on March 17, 2011, 08:24:55 PMI know this is slightly amusing timing considering my posts above, but is anyone interested in an iPhone 4 for AT&T for somewhere in the $350-400 range? I think that's what they're going for on eBay. One thing I think my phone will have over others is the fact that I have some paid apps that I won't delete when I sell it off. Some of those include MLB At Bat 2011 ($15), Fangraphs ($3), Words ($2), Angry Birds ($3), Angry Birds Seasons ($3?), Tiny Wings ($1). I am not 100% on if these will transfer for over fine if the ownership changes. I see no reason it wouldn't, but you never know. If it won't, someone can let me know. I've had it since it came out last June and it's been dropped from a height over 4 feet maybe one time, and when that happened I had a case on it. I have looked it over and I don't see any visible blemishes like scratches, etc. Also, the phone, contrary to popular belief, is not linked to any child pornography scandals. I've kept that all on my computer.

It's unfortunate for you that self-awareness is not available for purchase.

QuoteSelf-awareness is the awareness that one exists as an individual being.

I am aware of my existence of an individual human being.

Also, a workaround could be don't about the itunes situation but it would only work if one doesn't already have an itunes account.

Also, I'm enjoying piniellatailonthenightmancccatssterlingarcher's butthurtedness about me wanting to sell his fav company's phone. All that while having Steve Jobs' don't hanging out of his mouth. When I decided to go to Verizon I didn't even factor in the problems I had that night. I was tired of being stuck with a provider that limits my internet usage. I found a workaround to the phone issue i had that night anyway.

That, or I'm making fun of you trying to use apps you purchased with your iTunes account that require your password to update and sync as a selling point for a phone.  I do have Steve's don't hanging from my mouth, at least I think so because I'm not sure what a don't is, but correlation doesn't imply causation.  If trying to help you fix your problem means I'm butthurt about you selling it, then the lesson is to never help.

Lmgify links seem link you're a bit butthurt. Like I said, a workaround does exist. Like, the purchaser could assume my itunes account since I won't need it. Nonetheless, it doesn't matter since I don't give a shit. I'll sell it on eBay just fine.

I was definitely going to leave the credit card number as is. From the links that were poster, it sounds like it's a computer issue and the phone is *gasp* not broken. $400 is a typical price.on eBay so I was going to try to give these apps to someone on here. My apologies for trying to be courteous. I really liked the iPhone. It was easy to use and a very good device. I like the flexibility the android OS provides though. I was pretty close to buying the iPhone for Verizon but since the Thunderbolt was coming out the day after i went into the verizon store and being a state employee got me the phone at a discount I went with it.

Considering all the typos you've made in the last couple minutes I'm going to assume you're typing all these out on your broken iphone (without the benefit of a dialing wand). Which makes this latest episode of "That's Our Yetti" even more amusing.

Not to question the accuracy of Ebay - but why would I pay you $400 for a broken phone when I can pay $200 or less to cancel my contract at my current provider, then buy a shiny new iphone from AT&T for $50? I don't understand these market forces at all.

Lmgify links amuse me, that's all.  But since iTunes accounts require credit card numbers, I'll take it.

O RLY?
You two wanna go stick your wangs in a hornet's nest, it's a free country.  But how come I always gotta get sloppy seconds, huh?

Considering all the typos you've made in the last couple minutes I'm going to assume you're typing all these out on your broken iphone (without the benefit of a dialing wand). Which makes this latest episode of "That's Our Yetti" even more amusing.

Not to question the accuracy of Ebay - but why would I pay you $400 for a broken phone when I can pay $200 or less to cancel my contract at my current provider, then buy a shiny new iphone from AT&T for $50? I don't understand these market forces at all.

Actually its on my nice new non-broken phone. 4G and all.

Anyway, that could work if you're not with AT&T already... But then you're buying the iPhone 3gs for reasons I don't understand. If I was going to switch to AT&T for the iPhone, I sure as shit wouldnt buy the model from 2009. However, if you're with AT&T already and you are still under contract yet need a new phone, and you'd like an iPhone, its either $600+ from Apple/Verizon/att without a contract or go to eBay and buy one cheaper. Also, $200 might not be a guaranteed cancellation price. i know with AT&T it costs "$350 + $10 of each remaining month" to cancel with the iPhone (and that also includes other select models). I was lucky enough that I was on a family plan and I'm stripping my account down to $10 a month for the next 8 months. So, its kind of cheap for me. Plus, I have the opportunity to go back to my old number at that time if I chose to do so.

I've been assuming it's his new phone, which makes it even better.

Or he could wait a few months and get the 2010 iPhone 4 at whatever steep discount they're selling it at after the new one comes out in June (likely $99 if history is a guide, possibly less).
