Did he get traded or something?

Nah, just figured we'd never need it again.*

Right. He's started slowly after missing almost all of Spring Training. DOOOOOOM!!!

After 700 mostly-terrible plate appearances last year.

Yeah I don't see where there's anything illogical in being off the Starlin bandwagon. His value was tied entirely to his batting average and it's been garbage for over a year after a not insignificant decline in 2012 from his 2011 high. There's a good chance he's just bad and grossly overpaid now.
I will vow, for the sake of peace, not to complain about David Ross between now and his first start next year- 10/26/2015

Yeah, but this year was all about seeing if he could rebound from last season. And, particularly given his spring training injury, it's way too early to make a call on that.

Which is to say, we'll have wait to see how this one plays out.

Yeah, and when this strategy costs the Cubs their 77th win who'll look stupid then?

Fro Dog? I bet he could if he worked at it.

Castro's being very slow getting down on grounders, and his lack of speed even while trying to leg out getting out of a DP leads me to believe his hamstring still isn't 100%. The cold weather probably isn't making matters any better.

Anyway, having never really pulled a hamstring, that's my guess.

He got booed after rolling into a DP last Friday.

But, you know.  Cub fans.
Just a sloppy, undisciplined team.  Garbage.

I'm somewhere between SKO and Tank when it comes to Castro. I'm discouraged (not by these 4 games, but by 2013), but it's just 4 games and he had no spring training.

The one encouraging thing is that (so far) he's not letting hitter's pitches go by like he did last year.

I think the fact that I have zero hope for anyone connected with this team this year is paying dividends in stress free fandom.
