Ho-lee shit.  Great episode.

"People underestimate Bob at their peril."

"A molotov cocktail, I haven't seen one of those since Guns and Roses in '89"

I can't really pick a favorite part.  Probably the Colt vs. Tim standoff (and Tim's admission that he only has PTSD episodes when handling firearms in public).

Drewsitania. Drewbacca.

I also really liked the backstory of Drew & Arlo meeting in Vietnam - now it makes sense to me that Drew came to Harlan. Only question I have left is why he shot Theo - there's gotta be something juicy there.

Bold prediction: Theo's crew isn't going to give up on their hunt for Drew Goddamn Thompson.

"Stay frosty."

"Strafrmmmphee."
Loor and I came acrossks like opatoets.

Well, if that's not the most gut-wrenching cliff-hanger yet...

Boyd Crowder is a miserable son of a bitch.
Evil. Dishonest. Violent.  Why am I rooting for him?

Because of his winning smile.

Loved the exchange between Raylan and Boyd's junior henchman.

"Why you gotta be such a dick?"

"It's my job to be a dick. It would be weird if I was nice."

I'm thinking Wynn Duffy is going to play a serious WILD CARD role next week.

I swear, Ellen May has somehow managed to develop looking kinda sad and pathetic into some sort of superpower.

I've never liked Julia Roberts either, but thanks to Art I now realize why.  She DOES look too much like Eric.

RV, I hope you're right about Wynn Duffy.  I assume he'll pop again here somewhere, as he presents a pretty major loose end for the Detroit crew (what with him witnessing Nicky Augustine off an FBI agent and all), but part of me hopes that FX is going to give us a spin-off show about an impeccably dressed, asexual gangster on the run from his old life who opens a lumberjack bar in the Yukon Territory.

Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup.

Mrs. Cubbieblue rewound and watched the shooting scene in Raylan's ex's apartment three times.
Slowly but surely this show is more about Boyd Crowder.  I hope they don't turn him into a "good guy".

I don't know. I think it's probably as equally about Boyd and Raylan as ever.

I swear, there's been about 10 different scenes where it's Raylan apparently outmanned/outgunned and he tells the baddies that they should just give up or else it's going to go poorly for them, but I'll be damned if it doesn't make me insanely happy -- every fucking time.

If I were you, I'd drop my gun. Lay down on my tummy, and put my hands behind my head.

You would?

If I were you. If I were him, I'd just work on reading that little book without movin' my lips.

The season ended with the cliffhangers mostly involving Boyd.  His job offer.  His fiancee.  The final scene is about Boyd, not Raylan.

The final scene where Raylan is looking at his father's freshly-dug grave and the haunting notes of "You'll Never Leave Harlan Alive" fill the whole place with dread and doom, that's not about Boyd. It's about Raylan. Though the same is also true of Boyd. He'll never leave Harlan alive.
